Not trying to be too nineties here, I'm not giving a mission statement.

Just acknowledging that philosophy is at the root of all academic enterprise. Academic productivity leads to greater innovation and commercial productivity.

Philosophy also gives a perspective from which to take a view of the big picture, and that interests me.
